HELLO ALL! As you can see our next lan event is FEB 20, 2010 at 2:00pm. If You
are going to attend or planning on attending please go to www.jonesborolan.com
and click on "Event Signup" and fill out the form. This will enable us to get
a pre-determined number and space requirments. Also you will need to click on
"Event Waiver" link and print and sign this and bring it to the event with
you. This is for our protection, the facilities protection, as well as your
protection.

I have been working on getting some sponsorship and/or vendors to our events.
I dont know if we will get any for the FEB 20 event but we will definatley
have some for the next bigger event. Most of the sponsors want at least 20-30
attendees signed up prior to the event before they will consider us. That is
another reason to sign up on the website and sign up early. I do however have
a faster internet connection provided. At lease a 5mb down and 5mb up
connection and if it works out maybe a 15mb down and 15mb up connection.

MY GOALS FOR 2010:

NUMBERS: I want to see numbers grow at least at each bigger event we schedule.
I am planning on having about 2 or 3 more of these bigger events within this
year. At the last event I would like to see 50 attendees. That number is not
out of reach.....Spread the word!!!

LOCATION: I know we usually have lan events once a month at peoples houses and
we have the bigger events at the church, but I really want to use a nuetral
location. Which brings me to my next point.....

COST: "Holy cow are you serious...." I know I know that is a touchy
subject but hear me out!!! As long as we do the bigger events at the church we
will not be able to charge anything at the door. I would like to charge $5,
$10, or $15 per bigger event for supplies, equipment, door prizes, one meal
catered. I am looking into maybe renting some hotel spots and we would
definately have to charge there. I do not, will not, or am not going to charge
to pad my pocket any money will go for the said items only and not no one
person's personal wallet.

DIVERSITY: Computer LAN Events is by far our bread and butter,
but I would like to see consoles as well as table top board games at our events to.
Make it as big as we can. I know that maybe in the next years goals but
just wanted to point it out. I, myself, would like the opportunity to break off of the
pc games and play some table rpg's during the event if i wanted to play some folks
in HALO 2 on XBOX. :)

Anyways those are just some of my goals for this organization.
I want to see it grow and to be able to fellowship with some fellow gamers.

God Bless,

Derek McIntire

The next lan party event is at Temple Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Febuary 20, 2010

We are a local group of people who share similar interest.  We have a love for
computers and gaming.  Some of us are a bit more extreme than others, but
we all have fun.  We meet once a month at various locations.  Currently, at
the time of posting this, we have around 42 members.  However, only
around 12-15 actually show up usually.

When did we start you might ask?  We started around 4-5 years ago.  I do
not remember the exact date of when we started this lol.  Just something
that started out as a few friends and then starting growing and has never
stopped.

Where we meet up varies.  Our event is free of charge, but we welcome
donations if you choose to do so(as paying the electric bill for one of our
lan parties is never fun lol).  We do welcome new members if they come
with a current member.  However, if you do not know anyone at the lan
party and wish to come, please contact one of our admins first.
The reason for this is, we like to get an idea of the person before we
openly invite them to the party.

Couple reasons why

1.  We may not have room depending on the location.
2.  We want to know the person is trustworthy and will obey the rules.
